Help with Talk To My Shop

Connect your store once, then ask about products, stock, orders, and sales from your AI assistant.

Email support

support@talktomy.shop

Include the email address on your account and your store’s address. Never send passwords, WooCommerce keys, or secrets by email.

Set up in three steps

  1. 1

    Create your account

Select Connect my store on the home page, then create an account or log in. Sign-in is handled by our hosted sign-in provider.

  2. 2

    Connect your WooCommerce store

Enter your store’s public HTTPS address, then choose one option.

    • Approve in WooCommerce: sign in to WordPress with an account that can manage WooCommerce, and approve access. It is read-only unless you later turn on changes.
    • Use API keys: under WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API, create a key with Read permissions and paste its consumer key and secret. Read is enough for everything except changes.

We check the connection before we save it.

  3. 3

    Connect ChatGPT or Claude

Copy the MCP server URL from your dashboard and add it as a custom connector in your AI app. Approve your store on the consent page. Connector screens change over time, so if yours looks different, follow the provider’s guide.

    • ChatGPT: custom MCP server guide

Questions to try

  • Which products are running low on stock?
  • Show my 10 newest orders.
  • Summarize my sales for last month.
  • Change order 1234 to completed (your assistant should ask you to confirm first, and only if changes are on).

Making changes through your assistant

Changes are off by default. To allow them, use Allow changes on your store in the dashboard and approve the new WooCommerce permission. Each AI app must also be approved for changes when you connect it (a separate, unticked box on the consent page). An assistant can then update product details, change order statuses, and add order notes. It cannot issue refunds, delete anything, or edit customer data. Every change appears in the change log on your dashboard.

Plans and billing

See our plans page for plans. Payments and invoices are handled by Stripe, and you can manage your subscription from your dashboard.

Common problems

“This doesn’t look like a WooCommerce store”

Check that the address starts with https://, that WooCommerce is active, and that pretty permalinks are turned on under Settings → Permalinks.

Your store shows “Reconnect needed”

The key was removed or no longer works. Reconnect the store from your dashboard, or create a new Read key in WooCommerce.

“This authorization request expired”

Approval links can be used once and expire after a short time. Start the connection again from your AI app.

I want to remove a store

Disconnect it in your dashboard, then revoke its key in WooCommerce under Settings → Advanced → REST API.
