Terms of service
These terms apply when you create an account, connect a store, or use Talk To My Shop with an AI assistant.
1. The service
Talk To My Shop lets you connect a WooCommerce store you manage to AI assistants you choose. By default the connection is read-only: an assistant can read store information such as product details, stock status, order summaries, and sales totals. If you choose to turn on changes for a store and approve them for an AI app, that app can also update product details, change an order’s status, and add order notes. It cannot issue refunds, delete anything, or edit customer data. Every change is logged in your dashboard, and there is no undo button, so confirm each change before you approve it. 2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or be authorized to act for the business that uses the service. Keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Your store
Connect only a store that you own or are authorized to manage. You create or approve the WooCommerce access yourself and choose its permissions. You are responsible for revoking access in WooCommerce when you no longer need it, and for complying with the terms of your store, your hosting provider, and the data protection laws that apply to your business.
4. AI assistants
Your use of ChatGPT, Claude, or another AI assistant is governed by that provider’s terms and policies. We do not control those assistants and are not responsible for their outputs or availability. Store information returned to an assistant is handled by that assistant under its own terms.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the service unlawfully, attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, or security measures, access another person’s store or account, copy or scrape the service, or interfere with its operation.
6. Check important information
AI assistants can make mistakes. Check important figures in WooCommerce before you act on them, and review any change your assistant proposes before you confirm it. Sales summaries are order-based totals for the dates you choose. They are not payment-date or accounting reports, and they may not include refunds recorded outside the selected date range.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available, but it may be interrupted, and we may change or remove features. We will give reasonable notice before a change that materially reduces the core service.
8. Ending use
You can stop using the service at any time by disconnecting your stores and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend access to protect security or comply with law, and we may end these terms if you seriously or repeatedly breach them.
9. Warranties and liability
The service is provided as is and as available. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and limit our liability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Trademarks
WooCommerce is a trademark of its owner. OpenAI, ChatGPT, Anthropic, and Claude are trademarks of their respective owners. Talk To My Shop is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them.
11. Changes to these terms
We will post updated terms here. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you before it takes effect.
